Driving Directions to Jersey CRU @ Rutgers University
From the Garden State Parkway Southbound:
Take Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head south.
Take Exit 9 off the Turnpike, bear right after the tollbooths, and follow signs for "Route 18 North – New Brunswick." Then stay to the left to continue on Route 18 North.
Go approximately 3.7 miles and cross the Raritan River, then take the second exit marked, "Metlars Lane, Rutgers RAC, Livingston Campus."
Make a right onto Avenue E before the light.
Make the second left onto Rockafeller Road after passing the Rutgers University Health Services building.
At the stop sign, make a right onto Joyce Kilmer Avenue. The Livingston Student Center will be on the right hand side, #54.
There is FREE PARKING across from the Livingston Student Center, which is next to Lucy Stone Hall. Look for the JCRU signs and Rutgers students who will guide your way!
From the Garden State Parkway Northbound:
Take Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North. After approximately 24 miles, you will pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike.
Continue following directions from GSP Southbound at "Go approximately 3.7 miles"...
From Interstate 287:
Take Exit 9 "Bound Brook/Highland Park" and proceed east on River Road toward Highland Park.
After you pass under the overpass for Route 18, make the next left onto Route 18 North.
Take the second exit marked, "Metlars Lane, Rutgers RAC, Livingston Campus."
Continue following directions from GSP Southbound at "Make a right onto Avenue E"...
From US Route 1:
(Hint: You probably want to steer clear of Rt. 1 on a Friday night if possible.)Take exit marked "Route 18 North - New Brunswick."
Continue following directions from GSP Southbound at "Go approximately 3.7 miles"...
Train/Bus Directions to Jersey CRU @ Rutgers University
Take NJ Transit to the New Brunswick station. Go to the corner of George Street and Somerset Street, where there is a bus stop for the Rutgers bus.
If coming from the north, come off tracks down iron staircase and a bus stop is right there on Somerset Street.
If coming from the south, walk around the corner to Somerset street (left off the stairs turn left onto Somerset Street).
Take the "L" bus to the student center. The bus is FREE from the train to the Student Center. Once you get off the bus, look for the JCRU signs as well as students who will direct you to Lucy Stone Hall.
